about
Between the smell of the Venezuelan sea and the creative and sensitivity of Belgium, a universe is born where art and ethics go hand in hand to make beauty and authenticity a a way of understanding life.
Welcome: you are in Caracas Atelier.
My name is Marisol and I am Venezuelan. Born there.
I am Belgian. I studied there.
And I am also from Seville. Based here.
I was born and raised in Caracas, under a sky of intense blue, surrounded by suggestive aromas and exuberant nature. At the age of eighteen I crossed the Atlantic to settle in Belgium. There I graduated in Fashion Design, became a Belgian citizen and learned values that are not studied: ecology, freedom, respect, openness. Eleven years later, after arriving in Seville, I reconnected with passion, colors and nature.
So, Caracas Atelier was born: my most authentic creation, which unites in its name my deepest Venezuelan roots with the Belgian savoir-faire and the subtle elegance of a language in which every word is a caress.
In Caracas Atelier you will find a creative universe in which fashion and art come together to merge in bags, the piece of our wardrobe that holds inside the small luggage of the greatest moments of our life.
That place that on the outside gives a touch of distinction to our style and, on the inside, keeps treasures that define our essence.
Like nature or art, where each being and each creation is unique, Caracas Atelier's bags are conceived in limited editions.
They stem from my intuition and my way of feeling the fabrics while enabling me to give life to the unique emotions that art has made me live.
The fabrics and other little 'jewels' that I treasure from my travels and stays in Morocco, France, Belgium and Spain are taking shape to make of each bag a small work of art in which I live, feel and realize each part of the process.
That is why in each collection there is a very limited number of models, and of each model only a few pieces are made.Because in a world marked by programmed obsolescence, consumer voracity and inhuman speed, I believe in the delicacy that does not expire, in the expiration of the senses and in the infinity to which the authentic enjoyment of the small great moments of happiness leads us.
